| Being a Phi Sig means..... SISTERHOOD: Greek members enjoy a special type of relationship. This special bond is expressed in many ways; helping each other out when needed, studying together, cheering your teammates on at sporting events and socializing together. Sisters come from diverse backgrounds yet share a common bond. SCHOLARSHIP: Many National sororities reward academic achievement by offering scholarships and awards. In addition, members must maintain a specific grade point average to remain active in their respective chapters, and potential new members must meet a minimum GPA requirement to participate in sorority recruitment. LEADERSHIP: The Greek community offers women the opportunity to gain leadership skills vital to future success. It offers a chance to get involved and gain experience in a comfortable atmosphere. Many sorority women use these skills in other student organizations as well as in the work place. PHILANTHROPY: Greeks raise money throughout the academic year to support national and local charities as well as provide services to the local community such as park clean ups, volunteering at homeless shelters or donating canned goods to a local food bank. SOCIAL: Membership in a sorority will give you the opportunity to participate and possibly plan a wide variety of social events throughout the year. In addition to fraternity mixers, you will be able to attend formals, semi-formals, parent events and Homecoming celebrations. GΦ GRΣΣK! Click here to learn more about our Greek Heritage |
